Unlike some artists who toil endlessly in dusty garrets or cramped apartments strewn with Ramen wrappers, Masha planned for a stable career as a graphic designer. At the urging of family and friends who had received her handmade greetings, she had some cards printed, sent them to stores and is now well on her way to being a mogul. Masha likes to refer to nature in her work, which, she says, “is a particular fantastical luxury you don’t take for granted when you live in New York.” If she wasn’t an artist, Masha would of course be a supermodel.
Masha received a LOUIE Award for a card she created for The Museum of Modern Art.
