Behind The Card | Gunnar Johnson

November 19, 2011

Gunnar Johnson doesn’t necessarily call himself an artist, but he can’t deny his creative spark—as a kid, he used to write and edit an imaginary TV Guide.

When he’s not working in his home studio, Gunnar enjoys taking cross-country trips with his wife to visit “old-fashioned roadside attractions.” That, and sleeping, daydreaming and watching other people exercise. To sum up his style, Gunnar says “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” His dream collaboration, however, would be a little difficult with the current limitations on time and space. “Michelangelo and I could have done some pretty good cards, I think, if he would just lighten up a bit.”
