Mary remembers drawing ever since she could hold a pencil. She is happy to be putting her creativity to work in a studio on her family’s 120-acre farm in Wisconsin. The surroundings provide endless inspiration. In addition to greeting cards, Mary’s artwork can be found in children’s books and on handmade wooden plaques, ornaments and canvas. While Mary’s cuddly characters are recognizable nationwide, she was lucky to get them launched into greeting cards at all. Twenty-nine years ago, she wrote to Recycled Paper Greetings asking for submission guidelines – calling herself a “Procrastinator Extraordinaire,” she waited three years before finally sending in samples. She’s been working with Recycled Paper Greetings ever since.
In her spare time, Mary loves the movies, daydreaming, swimming, walking, reading, hanging out with her family and eating anything full of sugar.
